Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors
Almost all Chambers of Commerce have members called Ambassadors. These individuals are drawn from businesses, individuals, and even spouses. Cherleaders and organizers by design, Ambassadors typically wear colored blazers and other uniforms which make them very visible, which is a very useful trait. Among their duties are ribbon cuttings, receptions, luncheons and mixers. At these events, they mix with existing members, providing networking and basic support.
When there are new Chamber members present, it is the tasking of an Ambassador to take the ‘newby’ around and introduce them to present Chamber members. That gets everyone introduced properly. At ribbon cuttings and Grand Openings, the Ambassadors hold the ribbon while the business owner uses the great scissors to properly cut the banner and welcome customers. The blazers are also designed to make it obvious that the Chamber is very present and supportive of member businesses. Some Chambers have very prominent colors, such as red or blue, but the Quartz Hill Chamber blazer is teal, a subtle yet professional blue-grey.
The Chief Ambassador is Len Hobbs, who has an extensive history of world travel and many other accomplishments. Joining him are Miriam Rushall, Charlie and Sherry Towner, Jan Tatangelo, Ginny Beaver, Mandy Luther, Patti Holt-Pulsifer, and Eli Colvin. These enthusiastic Chamber members really put it all out for our organization, and they should be greatly appreciated for their contributions.
